Another Christmas (carmel)

•December 30, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Well since coco decided to tell about her christmas i think that i will too.

Not only did she get a game for her Wii but i did also.  I received Mario Kart, the most amazing game ever.  I spent about 10 hours one day playing it, unlocking all the different races, characters and cars.  The game never seems to get old.

Along with that, for the computer, I received the Sims Apartment Life and the Sims FreeTime.  In case you didn’t know, I am a sims junky and love anything and everything that has to do with the sims.  I’ve even uploaded my houses that I’ve designed and built onto a website and have had over 6,000 people download them.

If you are not familiar with the sims you should check out this website: www.modthesims2.com.

The sims that I’m currently playing is a marine biologist and is very interested and talented in music and dance. Her house has 4 bedrooms and a helicopter pad for her own private helicopter.  She is married with no children.

If you play the sims I would love to hear about your sims and the life you’ve created for them.

Well thats all for now!

For All of you Global Warming People!

•December 28, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Hey all, Coco here!

Well, one of the new things causing panic in this day and age is Global Warming. Personally, I don’t think it could hurt to be a little nicer to the planet, but we? The cause of global warming? That’s just getting egotistical.

We, humans. Compare that to the universe.

How much of an influence do you think we have?

*Ahem*, I digress.

The real point of this post was to give you a little intro and an encouraging shove in the direction of this article:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/3982101/2008-was-the-year-man-made-global-warming-was-disproved.html

And hey, if  you’ve already found this article, great! At least you’re aware of the other side’s argument! (I’ve been meeting way too many ignorant people lately, sorry.)

Discussion is acceptable.

🙂

Have a great day!

The Christmas

Hey all! Coco here! 😀

So, how’ve you been?

That’s good.

Well, I actually have no idea what I’m writing. I guess that I was just taking the advice from all those writing professors who said that the best way to learn amazing writing skills is to just write as much as possible. 😀

Well yeah, sorry about not updating the blog, anyway.

Geez, it feels so awkward to be writing again! I can tell that my writing has really deteriorated since the summer… how sad D:

My dad told me something pretty interesting yesterday. Right now, I’m reading “Ariel”, a collection of Slyvia Plath’s poems (one of them, anyway). My dad, vigilant as he is, noticed this and out of nowhere said to me, “Always remember, Jaime: you don’t have to be depressed to be a great writer.”

Aren’t those the best words to live by.

Oh yeah, for Christmas, I aquired Wii Fit. My muscles are still protesting, but I figure once they make friends with that stupid balance board, they will open all new doors of happiness. 🙂

But honestly, I don’t see that happening very soon. See, I have a problem with my balance. I am terrible at those stupid balancing games, like the one with the bubble, and URRGHH!! Sometimes I’d just LOVE to introduce that slab of white to a boiling pit of lava.

Well, my usually jabber-jaw self is unnaturally quiet today. So I guess this is goodbye! Have a great day, everybody!

The Bucket List. (You saw it coming!!!)

•September 2, 2008 • Leave a Comment

OH my GOSH

Hell all! Coco here. I just watched a movie. A movie called….

THE BUCKET LIST!!!!!

Oh, Lord…. Well, anyway, I just wanted to know, did anyone watch this movie and then have the strange urge to punch something because they were so sad? I had that urge. To the extreme! I felt like with every passing moment my heart was about to tumble out of my chest exclaiming, “Write a bucket List! Don’t waste your time! Say what you need to say!”

For cereal, I still can’t believe that a story about 2 old guys with cancer could be so…. dramatic.

Of course, one of them’s rich.

So, I was totally screwed up by the ending. I mean seriously, that last bit [SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER] on the mountain with the coffee can and Matthew(the assistant) totally punched me in the face!! Because, of course when you see the beginning and Morgan Freeman is narrating how Nicholson(sp?) died, you assume that he’s going to outlive the other. But no, then he just has to collapse during the time he sees his wife, he just has to die, and then he just has to get buried on the top of a mountain in a coffee can. Although, I have to say, I love that ending line, “…and I’m sure he was fine with his final resting place: it was completely illegal.” or something like that. ha!

I have to say, the Bucket List made me cry buckets of water.

hahaha! Yay for puns!

Overall, I’d give this movie like, 4/5 stars. Some parts its hard to understand, they don’t even tell you Morgan has cancer till like, halfway through the movie. You’re supposed to assume because of the cigarettes, I believe. Ah, well. It had great coffee jokes! And myself, being a coffee drinker, was quite happy with that. So was my dad. Ah, the good family memories….

Welp, have a good life, readers, and remember to comment on anything you’d like!

Make use of the time you have left!!!

Carmels Camping trip

•July 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Since coco wrote about her camping trip I thought that I should write about mine! Well I went camping about a week or two before she did and I only stayed for 3 days.  Also it was at a cabin that was owned by friends of my family.    Like coco i was nearly bitten alive by nasty misquitoes and I was stupid enough to now use any bug spray.  Yes, I know very stupid.

Anyways while I was camping I did somethings I had never done before.  First off on the first day I took the smallest boat out in the lake.  It’s real small and doesn’t go very fast.  You have to steer from behind and so I thought I wanted to give it a try.. Well it was my first time ever operating a boat by myself.  I was ok for a while going back and forth and back and forth but then I thought that I could go further out into the lake. Well that was a bad idea because no sooner that I decided that I wanted to come back does it run out of gas and I’m stranded out about 200 yards from shore! Someone had to take a larger boat (no much larger) and tow be back.  So much for boating…

The next day I went water skiing for the first time and wasn’t all that bad.  Even though it took 6 or 7 times to acctually get up and stay up it was fun aside from the bruied knee and the huge knot in my back.  I was surprised that I could actually get up the first time, but I couldn’t say up..

The next day I went fishing for the first time and caught some pretty nice fish.  One of them was a large mouth bass and some other small fish.

After that I went back home slightly tanner and covered in mosquito bites… I’m itching one now as I type. The campfire that lasted until 1 in the morning was also nice amidst the half cooked marshmallow fight.

Misquito Season

•July 8, 2008 • 1 Comment

Hey all! Coco here! I know I haven’t been contributing as much lately to the blog thang as Carmel has…. but I have a good excuse!

I was eaten alive by misquitos during my 5 day camping trip!

but seriously, does anyone really know why monquito bites are so itchy anyway? if you do, I’d love to know why. I have about 7 bites on the underside of each foot, and let me tell ya, it’s not pleasant.

I don’t think I would wish this kind of torture on my worst enemy!

Even as I speak, I am fighting the urge to rip off my socks and scratch my feet in heavenly bliss until I bleed. But I love this blog too much; I think I can stand to fight it until I type a few more sentences.

So what do you think?

Do misquitoes bother, adore, annoy you? Or are they just kinda there?

Tell Carmel and I what you think!!

well, I have to go now, the urge is too strong, I have to scratch!! so unbelievably itchy!

adios!

A Blank Page (poem)

•June 25, 2008 • 4 Comments

Hey all! Coco here! I was just going through some of my notebooks and I saw a poem that I wrote, and thought that maybe someone would care to read it. I’d appreciate it if you told me what you thought [not what I want to hear, but in a constructive way of course], like I said before, I love writing so I really want to improve my skills.

Well, here goes nothing!

Blank Page

A blank page.

A blank soul.

A blank life.

A blank stare.

If you stain the page with ink,

Be prepared to feel the consequences.

If you stab your heart with a pen,

I heard creativity flows out.

but for now, all it is is a virgin page,

a life with no name,

a heart with no face,

a rain storm with no clouds.

Yeah, well, I’m not very good at freestyle, I have no idea how to type it or anything, but it was one of those poems where the words just trickle out through the hand with no help from me or the pen. So, if you have any comments, suggestions, awesome poems that you made yourself, or anything at all, feel free to type a reply comment thinger!! 😀

Rain and Best Buy(carmel)

•June 24, 2008 • Leave a Comment

So coco and I went to the local mall to go shopping, only I was the only one to bring money..hehe. We were going to go to best buy after we were done which is right next to the mall but far enough that if it was raining you would get soaked.  So we got somethingto eat and then decided to go. While we were walking though the mall trying to get the entrance we wanted to get to we looked up at the sky lights and saw that it was hailing…..Coco wanted to go but I said that we should wait until it lightens up.  But no..did Coco listen..no of course not… So we go outside and run for our lives getting completely soaked at the same time. We stopped half way under a tree and as soon as we went again my flip flops got caught in a puddle and I had Coco go back and get them..hehe. She was behind me.  As soon as we got to the store the people working there were all like…”wow they’re really wet..” and giving us really weird looks.  As we were looking at the Ds and Wii games this guy comes buy and does the usual “Everything going OK?” seeing if we were going to buy anything, and almost walks away but does a double take and says “wow its really raining that hard?”  It was so funny the way people were looking at us. We played Rock Band and Mario Kart and messed with a number of other things..hehe.  Well we eventually left an hour later all dry and with one cd for me: Taylor Swift!

Hoped you enjoyed my little story!
